Cloudflare is a glowie project. It just is because I said so. Anyways who WOULDN'T be interested in a good chunk of global HTTPS traffic? I would, a lot of governments would, probably.

TBH for shit other than MITMing your site its really really good being a free service. DNS is instant, Well free dns from registrar works just fine but some registrars can be slow.

It's free for a reason....... :)

On the 18th of November 2025 Cloudflare was down for a few hours which means 99% of the western Internet was down. Everyone is TOO reliant on CF, a majority of sites don't need it and a majority of sites' backend IPs can be found pretty easily on sites such as Censys. (Not anymore it seems :( )

Does this shit even matter?

I'm not sure, nevertheless it betrays the point of HTTPS which is meant to have nobody see whats being transmitted from you to the website no matter if Cloudflare is le good or not. But HTTPS sucks anyways because of the trusted authority bullshit. Everything is capable of watching and collecting data on you and as technology advances it will get worser, even though we are probably already at rock bottom in the view of a privacy-loving OPSEC schizo at this point.

If Cloudflare IS NOT controlled by an intelligence agency or whatever, then I highly recommend that it should!
